Here are step-by-step instructions for blogging. You can also upload images (.jpg, .gif, etc.). The best way to share movies with students is to take advantage of YouTube. This is because our web hosting has bandwidth limits. Step 1: login to the website.
From the home page, enter your username and password. You will need an account to publish on the teacher's blog.
After you login, you should see a new menu on the left side of the home page titled "User menu 用户区". Click on "Submit an article 投稿". Step 2: Begin writing! You should see a WYSIWYG editor come up. The editor should be fairly self-explanatory. Step 3: Insert an image.
It is a little bit tricky to insert an image. First, scroll down a little bit and click the buttom labeled "Image".
The main screen should dim and a popup window should appear. Note that there are two scroll bars. You need to scroll down using the outside scroll bar. After you scroll down you should see this:
Click the button labeled "Browse". A dialog box should appear that show's your computer's file system. Locate the image file you wish to upload. Then click "Start Upload".
When the upload is complete, you should be able to see a thumbnail of the image in the list of figures. Click on your picture, then click "Insert" at the top of the popup window.
Your picture should now appear in the editor window. IMPORTANT: At the bottom of the editor window, for article section you must select "Teacher's blog 老师部落格“,and for article category you must select your own class (otherwise your article will post to the wrong part of the webpage!). See above image. Step 4: Publishing.
Before publishing, you must select a publishing date. Click on the little calendar icon below the editing window. IMPORTANT: to ensure that your article is published immediately, select the current date. For instance, if today is 2009-08-29, choose 2009-08-29 as your publishing date. There might be a small delay before your page appears on the blog page.
Finally, click "Save" located above the editor window. Congratulations, you have published a blog article!
